PICC RN - Vascular Access Nurse Consultant
VIC the PICC (VTP) specializes in vascular access consulting for acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and home healthcare. We offer device insertion, post‑access support, education, and mobile services across the Western and Southern United States.
Job Description As a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant, you will collaborate with customer clinical teams to resolve venous access issues, facilitating treatment goals. You may work inside or outside hospitals, gaining exposure to varied protocols and patient challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound and ECG confirmation.
Assist with management of PICCs and other vascular access devices.
Provide port access, line removal, declotting, and other support services.
Educate facility nursing staff on PICC, midline, and other CVAD use.
Travel to customer facilities as required; work four days per week with weekend and holiday rotation.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse with current license.
Minimum 3 years of acute care experience preferred.
Experience with ultrasound‑guided VAD placements.
Current BLS certification.
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
Smartphone and reliable transportation for travel.
Ability to work independently and fulfill scheduling needs.
Passion for vascular access.
Compensation Hourly Pay: $50 – $70 USD, based on experience and certifications.
