Responsibilities
Maintain established standards of care, policies, and goals while delivering professional nursing care to all patients. Identify patient needs and priorities through assessment. Plan and delegate care based on patient needs. Evaluate patient responses to care and progress toward expected outcomes. Ensure patient outcomes are delivered during the assigned shift. Provide around‑the‑clock critical care to premature and sick newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Offer support to parents, requiring effective communication skills regarding the plan of care and scope of treatment. Work as a team member with providers and ancillary staff to secure a newborn’s critical care treatment. Qualifications
Current Alabama RN license Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing BLS and NRP required; will be obtained during orientation Experience preferred; new graduates accepted Education & Experience
