Overview
Arizona College of Nursing is seeking a higher education nursing leader to join us as Dean of Nursing at our Phoenix, AZ BSN campus. The Dean will serve as a member of the college’s leadership team, collaborating closely with the Executive Director of Academic Operations and the rest of the campus leadership team on policy making, planning, implementation, and evaluation of campus activities to ensure that the College’s vision, mission, and values guide all decisions.

Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership to the nursing department, including monitoring direct reports such as nursing faculty, clinical coordinator, and director of simulation.
Ensure compliance of the nursing program with State Board of Nursing requirements, prepare required reports, and notify the Board of significant changes.
Represent the nursing program at meetings of appropriate bodies, including the Board of Nursing.
Submit information for the preparation of the annual operating and capital budget.
Lead faculty preparation for the accreditation self‑study and maintain program outcome statistics.
Manage personnel activities: performance reviews, 11s, quarterly check‑ins, training, and development.
Promptly notify the manager and corporate stakeholders of all legal issues and personnel changes.
Oversee clinical scheduling and coordination, ensuring sufficient direct patient‑care hours and compliance with health regulations.
Lead faculty onboarding, retention, promotion, and development, creating workload schedules and ensuring time for office hours, committee service, and teaching.
Provide advisement and support to students, manage orientation, and coordinate admission, retention, progression, and graduation activities.
Serve as liaison to ATI for scheduling of live reviews, assessing course outcomes, and facilitating textbook and media selection.
Chair monthly nursing faculty meetings and serve as an ex‑officio member on key program committees.
Qualifications
Master’s of Science in Nursing degree required; Doctorate preferred.
Five years of combined teaching experience and experience in curriculum development and administration.
Current unencumbered state professional registered nurse license or enhanced compact nurse licensure relevant to the state of teaching location.
Subject to state Board of Nursing regulation where the student is located.
