The Supply Chain Manager will oversee and optimize the company's supply chain operations, ensuring the timely, cost-effective movement of goods and services from suppliers to customers. This role is responsible for managing procurement, logistics, inventory, and distribution processes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs. The Supply Chain Manager will collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and logistics partners to ensure that supply chain strategies align with business goals, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational excellence. This position will lead and oversee teams in supply chain management, planning, and scheduling.
RESPONSIBLITIES
Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer service.
Monitor supply chain performance metrics and adjust strategies to achieve optimal performance.
Forecast demand and manage inventory levels to ensure products are available when needed without overstocking.
Oversee procurement processes, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with contracts and quality standards.
Build strong relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
Manage the logistics function, ensuring the timely transportation of goods from suppliers to warehouses and customers.
Collaborate with third‑party logistics providers (3PLs) to manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution efficiently.
Optimize transportation routes and methods to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
Oversee inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock levels to meet production and customer demand while avoiding excess stock.
Implement inventory control systems, conduct regular stock audits, and ensure accurate records are maintained.
Use data analysis to track trends in inventory usage and adjust procurement accordingly.
Lead and motivate the Planning and Purchasing team, ensuring the effective and efficient execution of supply chain functions.
Provide coaching and professional development opportunities for team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Manage scheduling, workloads, and performance reviews for supply chain staff.
Identify areas for process improvement within the supply chain and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Work with cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging lean manufacturing or other methodologies.
Ensure that supply chain processes are compliant with industry standards and company policies.
Monitor and mitigate supply chain risks, including potential disruptions, supply shortages, and changes in regulatory requirements.
Ensure that all supply chain activities comply with safety, environmental, and legal regulations.
Develop contingency plans to handle disruptions or unexpected supply chain challenges.
Requirements QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or Six Sigma are a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, or related fields.
Experience working with international suppliers and shipments, with the ability to improve shipment cost efficiency.
Experience with Syteline ERP is a plus.
History of improving inventory accuracy, turns, and planning functions within operations is highly desirable.
A minimum of three years’ experience in a management role.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and guide teams toward achieving organizational goals.
Proven experience in managing end‑to‑end supply chain functions, including procurement, logistics, inventory, and distribution.
Experience with supply chain management software (e.g., Syteline, Oracle, or other ERP systems) is preferred.
Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, inventory management, and procurement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and supply chain management software.
Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is beneficial for process improvement.
Understanding of global supply chain practices, including international shipping and customs regulations, is an advantage.

This is a primarily sedentary position involving long periods of sitting and working on a computer in a climate‑controlled environment. Frequently required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, walk, talk, or hear. Uses hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls.
Ability to type on a keyboard and use a mouse to gather and input job information on a computer. Moderate to advanced skills in Excel, ERP systems, and fixed asset software required.
Reading and comprehension. Ability to interpret and analyze data from company generated, industry, and financial reports. Evaluate and analyze international currency data.
Responsibilities require the ability to complete moderately complex mathematical computations, budgeting, financial closures, forecasting, and foreign currency conversions.
Regular and reliable attendance.
May lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds on rare occasion.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Computer/sedentary position.
Intermittently will have to go onto the production floor resulting in exposure to loud noises, sparks, fumes, chemicals, and heavy equipment.
Position will mainly be in a temperature control office space.
