Alexandria Moulding, an SPB Brand s is currently looking for a 2nd Shift Shipping Coordinator to join our VALUES based organization. The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for organizing, scheduling, and tracking all outbound shipments to ensure accurate, on-time delivery of building materials. This role supports warehouse and logistics operations, manages shipping documentation, assists with yard trailer movements, and safely operates forklifts when needed to support loading, staging, and inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities Shipping & Logistics Coordination

Schedule and coordinate all outbound shipments based on customer orders and delivery timelines.

Prepare and process shipping paperwork including BOLs, packing lists, manifests, and trucking documentation.

Assign carriers, create shipping labels, and ensure freight class accuracy.

Track shipments and communicate proactively with customers and internal teams regarding delivery status.

Yard & Trailer Coordination

Safely operate yard trucks to jockey trailers in and out of dock doors.

Position, move, and park trailers according to the warehouse loading schedule.

Communicate with warehouse leads to ensure trailers are staged and ready for loading or pickup.

Conduct basic visual inspections of trailers before moving (e.g., doors closed, brakes set, proper connection).

Maintain an organized yard layout to support efficient loading, unloading, and carrier flow.

Warehouse & Order Support / Forklift & Warehouse Support

Safely operate forklifts to move, stage, load, or unload building material products as needed.

Assist with verifying accuracy of order pulls, packaging, labeling, and load configurations.

Support warehouse teams by organizing inventory, maintaining clear aisles, and ensuring products are properly stacked and secured.

Work closely with warehouse leads to ensure loads are staged, wrapped, banded, and ready for pickup.

Assist with resolving shipment discrepancies, damages, or short loads.

Systems & Documentation

Enter shipping information into ERP/WMS systems (e.g., RF Smart, AX, etc.).

Maintain accurate records of daily shipments.

Ensure all paperwork and orders comply with company procedures and DOT requirements.

Communication & Customer Service

Serve as the primary contact for carriers, drivers, internal departments, and customer service teams.

Respond to shipping questions, delivery ETA requests, and carrier issues in a timely manner.

Coordinate special deliveries, rush orders, and will-call pickups as needed.

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations (building materials preferred).

1+ years of forklifting experience preferred.

Ability to safely operate yard trucks/spotter trucks to move trailers.

Strong understanding of freight processes, BOL creation, and carrier coordination.

Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Ability to read orders, measurements, and product descriptions commonly used in building materials.

Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Pay starting at $18.50 - $20.00 /hr based on experience.

Second Shift: 3:00pm-11:30pm Monday-Friday overtime when needed.
