Compensation:

Description Venturi Astrolab, Inc. (Astrolab) is pioneering new ways to explore and operate on distant planetary bodies. We are singularly focused on designing, building, and operating a fleet of multi‑purpose commercial planetary rovers to extend and enhance humanity’s presence in the solar system. We are seeking motivated, creative, and exceptional people to join our world‑class team. Our Growth Team catapults Astrolab's mission forward by fusing market insights, product innovation, strategic business development, bold marketing, and mission orchestration to conquer new planetary frontiers and redefine space mobility. As Market Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in conducting in‑depth research on trends, positioning, needs, and pricing to inform business development (BD) and product decisions directly. You will blend rigorous analysis with creative foresight to help us stay ahead of the curve, crafting reports and recommendations that drive revenue and innovation. You'll collaborate across functions to turn data into stories that resonate, ensuring our offerings align perfectly with market demands. You're detail‑oriented, proactive, and passionate about turning numbers into narratives that shape our future.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the cutting edge of space exploration technologies with a world‑class team focused on building the infrastructure to enable the exploration of the solar system.
What you'll do:
Lead comprehensive market research and analysis, including trend forecasting, competitor benchmarking, customer segmentation, and pricing strategy evaluations to guide BD and product roadmaps
Develop and execute data‑driven insights reports, dashboards, and models that quantify opportunities and risks, providing clear recommendations for cross‑functional teams
Collaborate with BD, product, sales, and leadership to integrate market intelligence into go‑to‑market strategies, feature prioritization, partnership evaluations, and proposals
Monitor industry shifts, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies through secondary research, surveys, and stakeholder interviews to maintain a competitive edge
Refine and optimize pricing models based on customer elasticity, competitor actions, and value‑based assessments to maximize profitability and market share
Partner with marketing and content teams to disseminate insights via compelling visualizations, presentations, and storytelling that influence decision‑making
Track and measure the impact of market‑informed initiatives, delivering ROI metrics and performance analyses to advocate for resource allocation
Identify high‑potential partnerships, acquisitions, or expansions through targeted opportunity scanning and scenario planning
What you'll bring:
Solid foundation with 3‑5+ years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, or analytics roles: Show us your track record in delivering actionable analysis that has influenced BD wins, product pivots, or pricing optimizations—backed by KPIs linked to growth objectives
Strategic curiosity with a data‑first mindset: You anticipate market evolutions and thrive on connecting dots between customer pain points, trends, and business levers. A unique lens on the space industry is a major plus
Balance of analytical depth and communication finesse: Comfortable with relevant tools but equally adept at translating complex findings into executive summaries or workshop facilitation
Adaptable and collaborative spirit: You roll up your sleeves in fast‑paced environments, iterate based on feedback, and build trust through reliable, unbiased insights
Be a strategic thinker with an in‑depth understanding of global space and defense markets and competitive dynamics
Be self‑driven and relentlessly proactive. You don't need someone to tell you to "move". You just move. We'd rather have to tell you to slow down than to speed up
Have strong analytical aptitude and horsepower. You intuitively think about problems in terms of numbers, and you can execute analyses quickly
Be passionate about identifying and prioritizing high‑impact partnerships through rigorous analytical frameworks and excited to collaborate across multiple functions to translate market intelligence into concrete business opportunities
Be comfortable communicating broadly and having a lot of eyes on your work. This role will at‑times require comms to large groups and senior leadership
Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export‑controlled information or facilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Completed an MBA or technical degree
Space, aerospace, or deep‑tech experience
Experience developing financial and valuation models
Prior experience in market analysis, market competitive intelligence, or equity research.
