Job Summary and Responsibilities Seeking General Surgeon to join a multi‑specialty provider group in beautiful Nevada County, CA.
Dignity Health Medical Group – Sierra Nevada is a multi‑specialty medical group in Grass Valley, CA. We are recruiting a General Surgeon to join our group in Grass Valley, CA, in providing both hospital call coverage and an elective practice.
Highlights
8‑14 call days per month
Typical schedule includes 2 clinic days and 2 OR days per week
Interest in building a program from scratch
Block time at SNMH plus Surgery Center availability
Compensation Range: $414,000 – $513,000
Job Requirements
A valid and unrestricted California medical license
Board eligible or board certified in specified area of medical specialty (ABMS or AOA)
Completion of an accredited post‑graduate training program
Where You’ll Work Dignity Health Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital is a 104‑bed not‑for‑profit hospital located in Grass Valley, California. The hospital has been providing compassionate, quality health care to residents and visitors of western Nevada County since 1958. As an affiliate of the nationally recognized Dignity Health system, we ensure the highest standard of health care to our patients and have access to important regional resources throughout the system, including the Dignity Health Heart & Vascular Institute, the Dignity Health Neurological Institute of Northern California and the Dignity Health Cancer Institute of Greater Sacramento.
Community Description The natural beauty of Nevada County, combined with the area’s rich history and economic vitality, provides an appealing quality of life that is highly valued by residents and visitors alike. Grass Valley, the largest city in western Nevada County, has a population of nearly 13,000 people. Although Grass Valley, Nevada City, and the other towns of Nevada County offer a small‑town feel, the conveniences and offerings of major metropolitan areas (Sacramento, Lake Tahoe, San Francisco & Reno) are only a short drive away, making this location very attractive. Our charming historic towns attract tourists year‑round and offer fine dining and wine tasting, museums and art galleries, antiques, shopping, parks, and a range of cultural attractions. A year‑round climate of moderate weather with warm summers and short winters offers outstanding recreational opportunities, including fishing, whitewater rafting, hiking, biking, boating, hunting, skiing, golfing, gold panning, and camping.
