Your responsibilities and tasks
Support internal global customers in the execution of engineering design projects.
Design and draft sheet metal components and plant layouts.
Complete high-quality design projects on time and within the designated hourly budget.
Support the documentation of deliverables for various products within the given technology scope.
Other responsibilities as given by Manager.
Understand project tasks and evaluate required input from customers.
Proactively communicate any missing information, tools, or resources needed for task execution.
Create 3D models and 2D drawings of General Arrangements (GA), Plant Layouts, and plant-related equipment based on given GEA technology.
Adhere to the established drawing/model review process within the team.
Take full accountability for own design drawings and models.
Generate equipment fabrication drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Work on Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), layouts, ducting, and other plant-related tasks.
Plan own work in alignment with the overall project schedule in consultation with the manager.
Effectively manage time across multiple tasks and provide progress updates to relevant stakeholders.
Manage, develop, and innovate 3D libraries.
Create basic P&IDs for projects.
Create 3D packages of drawings.
Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for projects.
Your profile and qualifications
Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Autodesk products (Inventor, AutoCAD, Plant 3D).
Experience with PLM/PDM software, preferably Vault.
Familiarity with ERP systems.
Demonstrate agility and independence in task execution while being an effective team player.
Flexible to undertake various design tasks within or across different teams.
Self‑motivated to learn about various products/systems within different GEA technologies.
Must possess good English communication skills (oral and written).
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 3-8 years of experience in mechanical design using various CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, etc.
Experience in FMCG, Dairy, Pharma will be added advantage
