Job Overview

For nearly 150 years, The Jewish Board delivers innovative, best‑in‑class mental and behavioral health services to over 45,000 New Yorkers each year. The Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) Therapist in Preventive Services Department provides the TST model for families with children (ages 5 and over) who are impacted by trauma, reducing the risk of foster care placement and supporting safe family environments. Key Responsibilities

Provide Child Welfare Preventive Services exclusively within the client’s home and community. Learn and implement the TST model, improving caregiver‑child relationships and restoring child functioning. Integrate case management services with assigned evidence‑based models to meet families’ basic needs and promote stability. Collaborate and coordinate services with all providers working with the family to ensure comprehensive care. Conduct assessments, identify risks, and develop goals with key participants. Engage caregivers and other participants in active change‑oriented treatment, overcoming barriers to engagement. Maintain clear, concise documentation in CNNX case record, enter data into PROMIS, and prepare reports to Probation if required. Participate in model developer consultations, record sessions for training and supervision, and adhere to model fidelity. Work a hybrid schedule that is flexible to meet family needs and program requirements. Qualifications

Master’s degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, creative arts therapy, or related subject area. Experience working in the client’s home and in Child Welfare, JJI, or adolescent‑focused programs. Knowledge of Evidence‑Based Models, Motivational Interviewing, and solution‑focused work. Bilingual/Bicultural preferred; direct practice with families in diverse communities. Strong assessment and communication skills; ability to establish therapeutic relationships and implement family communication strategies. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office; preferred knowledge of the Connections system.
