Job Details Position:
Hand Therapist (Occupational Therapist)
Location:
160 East 56th Street, New York, NY (Midtown East; outpatient clinic)
Type:
Full‑time (Mon‑Fri; 40 hours/week). Schedule is flexible to a degree, with adjustments needed to support team and clinic operations. Schedule to be discussed further during the interview.
Salary:
$84,000 – $107,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
Sign‑on bonuses available.
Responsibilities
Review patient medical history and develop individualized treatment plans.
Diagnose patients by observing movements and listening to concerns.
Use exercises, stretching, equipment, and manual therapy to manage pain and improve mobility.
Record patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
Qualifications
Licensed in NYS as an Occupational Therapist.
Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success.
Basic computer skills.
CPR and first aid certification required.
Open to new grads; must have level 2 fieldwork experience in hand therapy.
Level 2 fieldwork experience in hand therapy, some continuing education courses, and 1 year of experience in outpatient orthopedics and hand therapy as a licensed OT preferred or CHT eligible (accumulated 4000 hours of hand therapy experience and 3 years of experience), waiting to sit for boards.
CHT certification a plus.
Must be familiar with all HTCC‑described conditions related to the Hand Therapy discipline and their corresponding anatomy.
