A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a K-12 school setting in Massillon, OH. This contract position will cover the school year (CSY) beginning in January and ending at the conclusion of the school year. The role involves providing speech and language services to students in one high school and one small elementary school.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct speech and language assessments for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to students needs
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student evaluations and therapy sessions
Participate in meetings such as IEP reviews and multidisciplinary team discussions
Provide direct therapy services in both elementary and high school settings
Desired Qualifications And Experience
Certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Experience working in school environments, including pediatrics and school-based therapy
Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred but not mandatory
Ability to work effectively with children across a broad age range (elementary through high school)
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of educational and healthcare standards relevant to speech-language services
