The Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) works under physician direction and under the supervision of the Respiratory Care Clinical Team Manager. The CRT is a professional who works within the limits of their license and credentials, adhering to institutional and departmental policies, procedures, and standards. The CRT is required to provide quality patient care, promote a healthy work environment, and project a positive image for the UAMS Medical Center. Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma plus 2 years direct respiratory care experience OR an Associate's degree in Respiratory Care. Must be a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT). Must hold a current Arkansas Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (LRCP). Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Respiratory care. ACCS, NPS, ACLS. Additional Information

10K Sign-on Bonus is available. Responsibilities

Performs routine respiratory care procedures including updrafts, metered dose inhalers (MDI), chest physiotherapy (CPT), arterial blood gases (ABG), incentive spirometry, intrapulmonary percussive ventilation (IPV), patient education, mechanical ventilator setup and management. Assists in codes and rapid responses. Enters patient treatment notes in e-chart system and/or places documentation in patient charts. Calls for, or physically moves, equipment and medical supplies needed into the assigned work areas. Physical Requirements
