Job Overview
The Clinical Dietitian provides evidence-based nutrition care and wellness support to patients and clients of Seavey Wellness Clinic. This role combines clinical expertise with a preventive, holistic approach to promote optimal health, manage chronic conditions, and support lifestyle change. Responsibilities include conducting nutrition assessments, developing individualized care plans, providing medical nutrition therapy, and leading wellness education programs.
Responsibilities
Conduct nutrition assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and manage diet prescriptions (oral, enteral, parenteral).
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other wellness professionals to deliver integrated, patient-centered care.
Lead wellness education programs and deliver nutrition counseling to patients and caregivers.
Document care processes in the medical record and ensure compliance with TJC, CMS, and hospital protocol.
Participate in medical rounds, discharge planning, and patient care conferences.
Precept dietetic interns and serve as a resource to the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) staff.
Maintain licensure and registration; engage in continuing education to meet professional standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics.
Licensed as a Registered Dietitian in the state of Georgia or eligible for licensure.
Entry-level RD position; competent in adult and geriatric nutrition.
Basic computer skills (electronic medical records, nutrition software).
Must obtain licensure within 2 months of hire if not already qualified.
