Piping Design & Stress Analysis Engineer
Direct Hire |$110,000 to $130,000 + Bonus
This is a permanent career opportunity for a Piping Design & Stress Analysis Engineer supporting piping systems on industrial, infrastructure, and energy-sector projects. The work centers on process plants and heavy industrial facilities, with responsibility spanning layout, stress analysis, support design, and issued-for-construction deliverables. The role is technical, detail-oriented, and grounded in real-world constructability.
Responsibilities Develop 3D piping layouts and models for complex industrial systems
Perform pipe stress analysis and restraint evaluation
Design and coordinate pipe supports with structural and civil disciplines
Prepare drawings, calculations, and technical deliverables for review and construction
Interface with engineers, designers, and project teams throughout the design cycle
Required Technical Background
US Citizenship or current Green Card (Permanent Residency).
Strong working knowledge of ASME, ANSI, and API piping codes
Direct experience on industrial, infrastructure, or energy projects (oil & gas, power, petrochemical, or similar)
Proficiency with Caesar II and AutoCAD
Experience with PDMS, SmartPlant 3D, or Navisworks
Ability to interpret P&IDs, piping specifications, equipment layouts, and stress reports
Familiarity with structural steel integration and support coordination
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
3–7 years of hands‑on piping design and stress analysis experience in industrial environments
