Position Overview West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute are seeking a Vascular Surgeon. Ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The successful candidate will practice primarily in Wheeling, WV, and may also be assigned to additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Travel will be anticipated and expected to fulfill duties at these additional sites.

Duties & Responsibilities

Practic­e in the area of vascular surgery, providing excellent patient care.

Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

MD, DO, or foreign equivalent degree and eligibility for state medical license.

Completion of a general surgery residency program and a vascular surgery fellowship or vascular surgery residency.

Board certified or eligible in vascular surgery.

All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Additional Information The WVU Heart and Vascular Institute operates satellite clinics in West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania and offers a collaborative, academic environment for advanced cardiovascular care. The position will be primarily based in Wheeling, WV, which offers the amenities of a big city and the appeal of a small town.

Schedule: 40 hours per week. Exempt.
