Job Overview
The primary function of a Respiratory Therapist is to provide respiratory care to a variety of inpatients and outpatients. The scope of duty includes therapeutic, diagnostic, educational, and invasive procedures for adults.
Qualifications
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with current New Jersey license
BLS Certification required
Certifications and Licenses
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions)
Day shift
37.5 Hours per week
Full‑Time
Essential Functions
Help patients accomplish treatment plans and support life by administering inhalants and operating mechanical ventilators.
Administer therapeutic gas apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators; perform bronchopulmonary drainage.
Assist with breathing exercises; monitor vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes; direct treatments given by aides, technicians, and assistants.
