Responsibilities
Plan, direct, and coordinate recreational-based treatment programs for patients in Physical Therapy Rehabilitation.
Plan and implement appropriate recreation activities for patients in accordance with guidelines set by the organization, hospital and the profession.
Provide therapeutic recreation intervention for an assigned caseload.
Ensure all patients are oriented to recreation therapy and provide hospital‑wide leisure, social and divergent programs.
Serve as an educator to patients on community resources.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation is required.
Current national certification from NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or eligibility to take exam is required.
