Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair issues in HVAC systems (residential/light commercial).
Replace or repair components like heat exchangers, compressors, motors, thermostats, expansion tanks, refrigerant leaks.
Conduct seasonal maintenance and performance testing.
Ensure systems meet safety standards and operate efficiently.
Collaborate with customers to identify comfort concerns and provide repair estimates.
Install or assist with installing HVAC systems and accessories.
Maintain accurate documentation and service records.
Perform light electrical work and service and repair gas fireplaces, as needed.
Serve on an on‑call rotation for emergency calls (1–2 weekends per month).
Use and update field service management software (e.g., ServiceTitan).
Maintain a clean company vehicle and represent the company with professionalism.
Qualifications
5+ years of HVAC field experience preferred.
Technical training in HVAC is strongly preferred.
EPA Section 608 Certification preferred.
Proficiency with HVAC diagnostics and repair of split systems, heat pumps, geothermals, boilers, and gas fireplaces.
Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and on ladders.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Must live within 35 miles of Monticello, IL or be willing to relocate.
Must pass a drug screening, including for THC, and background check.
Strong work ethic, professional appearance, and excellent communication skills.
Self‑motivated and able to work independently.
Tech‑savvy, familiar with tablets and software like ServiceTitan.
No HVAC side work unless approved by employer.
Must provide personal hand tools and toolbag.
Company uniforms must be worn at all times.
Willingness to contribute to shop duties and team operations.
No excessive personal phone use during work hours.
No tobacco or vaping use during work hours.
Benefits
Hourly pay: $25–$45 per hour based on experience.
