Overview Goldbelt Apex, part of the Healthcare Technology Transformation Group, is a data‑focused company dedicated to process and quality across healthcare IT. This position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid.

Summary The Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) is responsible for performing inspections, calibrations, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on medical and non‑medical support equipment, including medical package tools, generators, and environmental control units. The BMET ensures all work aligns with OEM guidance, DoD instructions, applicable regulations, and unit directives.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and calibration of biomedical equipment.

Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in medical devices; coordinate repairs or vendor service as needed.

Maintain detailed service records documenting repairs, maintenance actions, and performance evaluations.

Assist in installation and configuration of new biomedical equipment.

Participate in life cycle management of medical and non‑medical support equipment (oxygen generating systems, radiographic diagnostic equipment, life support systems, etc.).

Determine associated support items for scheduled services and maintenance; prepare purchase requisitions; provide training as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge

Basic knowledge of biomedical equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems associated with medical devices.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical manuals and safety guidelines.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Effective communication skills to provide technical support and document service activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree.

Graduation from the DoD Biomedical Maintenance Course or an accredited civilian Biomedical Maintenance Course.

Completion of the Planmeca digital dental course no later than 12 months after start.

Minimum 4 years of field experience in performing and managing inspections, calibrations, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment within OEM guidance.

Must pass client background screening for security clearance.

Travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Pay And Benefits Salary range: $37.21 to $46.51 per hour.
