Teaching Assistant Professor (Non-tenure track)
Position: 9‑month, non‑tenure track Teaching Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences at Kansas State University. The position is full‑time, onsite, located in Manhattan, KS.
About This Role The Department of Psychological Sciences seeks to fill a nine‑month, non‑tenure track Teaching Assistant Professor faculty position. A multi‑year position is anticipated but not guaranteed. The focus of this position will be to deliver high‑quality undergraduate courses that support cognitive and behavioral neuroscience, including courses such as Drugs and Behavior, Behavioral Neuroscience Lab, Psychopharmacology, Behavior Modification, and Brain Myths: Facts or Fiction.
About the Department The Department of Psychological Sciences, part of the College of Arts and Sciences, has 20 full‑time faculty members and about 500 undergraduate majors. Faculty focus on excellent teaching (four courses per semester) while having opportunities for research and service activities. The department values teaching excellence, research, and service and encourages a supportive and inclusive environment.
Worksite Description Position is onsite. All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. Kansas State University does not offer remote or hybrid work.
Minimum Requirements
PhD in psychology or a closely related field. ABDs with substantial progress toward completion will be considered.
Graduation is required for accreditation purposes and to ensure candidates possess the specialized knowledge and skills needed at this level.
Preferred Qualifications
Evidence of teaching excellence.
Interest in and ability to conduct research, including potential to involve students in research.
Sponsorship Eligibility Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
