10:30 AM – 8:00 PM (actual shift is 9.5 hours; however, the assignment is classified as “8 Hour Days” per facility scheduling), rotating call, possible weekends

CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state preferred)
Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience, including all adult open heart and open/endovascular cases
Experience with open and endovascular AAA (abdominal aortic aneurysm) surgery; willingness to assist with Cath lab cases such as TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
General operating room (OR) knowledge and experience in general, orthopedic, and neurosurgery
Previous travel nursing experience required
Ability to take rotating call and work occasional weekends
CVOR RN Responsibilities
Deliver safe, high-quality patient care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room for a variety of surgical procedures, including CABG, valve replacements, aortic surgeries, TAVR, TCAR, TEVAR, EVAR, and open vascular cases
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, surgical technologists, and patient care techs to ensure optimal outcomes
Utilize advanced OR equipment such as Microscopes, Da Vinci Xi Robot, Mako Robot, Laparoscopic Stryker tower, Stealth, and endovascular hybrid room technology
Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR
Participate in rotating call schedule and provide support for weekend shifts as needed
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic surgical environment
Mentor and support new graduate surgical techs or RNs as appropriate
