Responsibilities
Conduct ongoing assessments to meet patient needs.
Communicate progress with supervisors, direct‑care staff, families, guardians, and collateral individuals.
Provide monthly schedule to supervisors of appointments, home visits, and observations.
Coordinate home, work and/or community‑based visits for observations, chart reviews, staff interviews, and data analysis.
Ensure the Behavior Intervention Plan is implemented effectively.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and other pertinent meetings as required.
Complete monthly and/or quarterly progress notes.
Organize training to certify staff and team members in the implementation of the Behavior Intervention Plan and/or documentation.
Provide follow‑up interviews, home visits, and observations for continued support.
Maintain strong clinical records.
Act as liaison with the public and mental‑health community to support development of ongoing goals.
Assist in creating training procedures to improve programs for individuals served.
Complete continued education on behaviorally based interventions & techniques.
Qualifications
Experience with behavioral intervention or strong educational emphasis on learning and developmental psychology.
Two or more years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behaviorally challenged populations.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods, bending, and moving from seated to standing regularly.
State specific requirements:
Illinois: BCBA, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, BCaBA, or bachelor's degree + 1500 hrs of supervised experience by a Licensed Psychologist or BCBA.
Indiana: Master’s degree in a human related field (including BCBA, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Counselor).
Kentucky: Master’s degree in a human related field and 2 yrs experience (including BCBA, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Counselor).
Georgia: Master’s in psychology, special education, counseling, social work, or related field OR BCBA, LpC, LsW, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist/Psychiatrist; at least 2 yrs experience providing positive behavioral supports, documented coursework in ABA.
California: Must be a BCBA or BCaBA.
Virginia: BCBA, BCaBA, Licensed Psychologist or PBSF, LPC, LSW or LCSW with training and experience and/or documented coursework in ABA.
Texas: Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Psychological Associate, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or BCBA.
