Overview Memorial Hospital Belleville

is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services plus critical and emergency care, including Children’s at Memorial for pediatric emergency care. It provides a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services, heart and vascular care, and kidney dialysis. It is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and a Magnet‑recognized organization for nursing excellence.

Memorial Hospital Shiloh , a 94‑bed private‑suite hospital, is recognized for emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical and surgical services, and critical care.

Responsibilities Role Purpose

Ensures the prompt and accurate preparation and dispensing of medications according to prescription orders from practitioners authorized by law to prescribe. Instructs, coordinates, and monitors the work activities of staff to meet patient and customer needs in accordance with the rules and regulations for pharmacy operations.

Manages staff, including hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and conducting professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity of the team meets departmental goals.

Assists with pharmacy operations and integration with other departments.

Provides pharmaceutical care appropriate to patients’ needs.

Interprets patient data to identify, prevent, and resolve drug therapy problems and ensures safe and effective drug therapy.

Coordinates and reviews the work of pharmacists, technicians, and students.

Assists in developing and enforcing pharmacy policies and procedures in compliance with hospital policies and regulations.

Participates in departmental staffing, revenue, and expense budgets and responds to changes in business to meet budget goals.

Minimum Requirements Education

Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy

Experience

No supervisor experience required

Licenses & Certifications

Medication Therapy Services in MO

RPh

Preferred Requirements Education

Master's Degree

Experience

2–5 years
