Job Summary
As an RN at Abbotsford Health Care Center, you will ensure patients receive high quality care and necessary resources. Your role supports the mission of providing compassionate care to residents.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct direct resident assessment and care.
Supervise and coordinate nursing personnel in providing resident care in adherence to guidelines.
Formulate individualized nursing care plans using the nursing process.
Assess each resident shift and implement changes in care as needed.
Assist the physician on rounds and ensure communication of orders.
Participate in training and supervision of nursing personnel.
Lead and manage conflict through effective problem‑solving and communication.
Act calmly and efficiently in emergency situations.
Maintain accurate resident care records and documents of the nursing process.
Attend resident care meetings, staff meetings, and in‑services.
Teach residents, families, and staff (formal or informal).
Dispense medication and perform treatments per physician orders.
Notify attending physician and family of any significant change in resident health status.
Ensure residents and families receive high‑quality service in a compassionate atmosphere.
Perform additional duties as requested.
Other Duties
Interact with customers, families, visitors, facility, and corporate personnel.
Carry out tasks requiring hands‑on intervention or participation.
Work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Maintain good personal hygiene and required dress code.
Provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test.
Qualifications
Current valid Registered Nurse license issued in the state of practice.
Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
Up‑to‑date physical assessment skills and comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles.
Recent experience in geriatric or rehabilitative nursing and supervisory capacity preferred.
