Overview
Hospice of Alabama is seeking a Full Time On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team, providing exceptional care and support to hospice patients and their families during critical moments. As an On‑Call RN, you will identify patient and family needs, coordinate care, and offer preventative measures and compassionate support.
Schedule Either 7 on / 7 off; nights Mon–Thu 4:30 pm to 8:00 am and Friday 4:30 pm until Monday 8:00 am, then a week off; or weekends Friday 4:30 pm until Monday 8:00 am.

Responsibilities
Respond to a variety of patient needs, from urgent to routine, with unwavering support.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient’s physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
Maintain accurate documentation to meet agency and regulatory standards.
Provide support for families, guiding them in caring for their terminally ill loved ones.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or health care preferred.
Current, unencumbered RN license.
Minimum one year experience as an RN in a medical‑surgical/acute care setting (hospice experience a plus).
Computer proficiency, including experience with EMR.
Current CPR certification, if required by state.
Compensation $74,000 – $80,000 per year
(average pay range). Compensation is determined by selected candidate’s experience and specific responsibilities and will be confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
