Job Description
The speech-language pathologist (SLP) works to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing disorders in the pediatric population. Additionally, SLPs provide training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals and work collaboratively with professionals from other disciplines.
Reports to Clinical Director

Availability Required Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Qualifications
Masters of Speech Language Pathology
Certificate of Clinical Competency OR eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year
Current Michigan SLP Licensure
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in pediatrics and with those who have special needs is preferred
Willingness to work in a collaborative team setting
Candidates who are currently credentialed with major insurance companies is preferred, including Medicaid/Medicare
Other Requirements
Successful completion of criminal history background check and drug testing
Willingness to lead summer speech and language groups as well as summer speech and language camps
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team with other professionals (i.e., OTs, PTs, BCBAs, etc.).
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
Bluestone Children’s Center is located in Livonia, Michigan and offers ABA therapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy. Bluestone is a family centered facility and is designed for children ages 2-12 with varying diagnoses. Currently, Bluestone offers a multidisciplinary approach to therapy including the collaboration between SLPs, OTs, BCBAs, and PTs. The center offers two gyms, a mini movie theater, a playroom, a haircut hut, a mock dental office, and several other unique spaces to conduct therapy in a play based and functional environment!
The Bluestone Speech and Language Department is seeking a part-time speech language pathologist who has experience working with young children of varying ages and disorders including but not limited to Autism, congenital disorders, mixed expressive/receptive language disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, Apraxia of Speech, swallowing disorders, stuttering, etc. We are seeking a part-time SLP with availability Monday through Friday and between the times of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
