How You’ll Contribute As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will be a vital part of our surgical team. You will prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensure proper instrumentation and supplies are available, and directly assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures. Your work will directly contribute to patient safety and high‑quality care in a fast‑paced environment. This includes, but is not limited to:
Preparing operating rooms with sterile instruments, drapes, and equipment
Assisting with patient transport, positioning, and prep for surgery
Passing instruments to surgeons and anticipating procedural needs
Accounting for instruments and supplies to maintain safety standards
Handling and processing surgical specimens appropriately
Supporting infection control and aseptic technique at all times

What We’re Looking For
Current NBSTSA certification or
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (CAAHEP) or
Completion of Armed Forces/CAAHEP‑accredited surgical training
Successful completion of the NBSTSA certifying exam
Tennessee Certified Surgical Technologist preferred
BLS required
ACLS, PALS and NRP preferred
