Position Summary
Performs the day-to-day activities of the Environmental Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, Director or Supervisor, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
Responsibilities
Clean floors in resident rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, locker rooms, and other work areas.
Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors using brooms, mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies using proper equipment.
Move furniture to and from office as needed.
Collect and dispose of trash and linens per policy and procedure.
Polish metalwork such as fixtures and fittings.
Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
Ensure that all work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.
Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner and free of hazardous objects such as protruding mop/broom handles, unnecessary equipment, supplies, etc.
Maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Qualifications Education/Training
Must be able to speak, comprehend, read and write the English language.
