Provide nursing and tele-nursing services in accordance with the state's Nurse Practice Act, Erlanger Models of Care/Practice, policies, and procedures. Participate in and complete patient safety initiatives relevant to the position. Communicate effectively with primary care nurses, staff physicians, and other departments regarding all aspects of patient care. Coordinate and deliver virtual care across multiple telehealth service lines; field telehealth consult requests and triage to appropriate clinical departments while maintaining audio-video connectivity. Perform on-demand and scheduled telehealth services requiring critical thinking and strong organizational skills. Maintain a professional demeanor, protect patient confidentiality, and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication; provide interactive communication appropriate to the patient’s age. Education
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Experience
Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience in acute care nursing. Must have knowledge of general nursing principles, applicable policies/regulations, and awareness of current trends and developments. Must be well organized and methodical; basic knowledge of Zoom and/or other audio-video technologies for telehealth visits. De-escalation training, if applicable. Licensure and Certifications
Current license to practice in the State of Tennessee. BLS certification obtained prior to unit/department assignment and maintained thereafter. The Nurse Licensure Compact guidance applies; multistate licensure from a compact state must be obtained within three months of hire for non-Tennessee residents. Department Position Summary
