Modeling & Simulation Software Engineers
to support a classified program for G-7 Mission Engineering, Modeling, and Analysis branch in
Quantico, VA.
The team is seeking a software engineer skilled with building and integrating digital models and creating databases to support a mission-critical program.
Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance (TS minimum)
Location: Quantico, VA (100% onsite)

Responsibilities of the Modeling & Simulation Engineer
Develops and maintains simulation models and environments utilizing diverse programming languages, tools, and data sources.
Integrates simulation capabilities within broader system architectures, supporting Naval Capabilities Integration Process (NCIP) initiatives for interoperability testing.
Partners with engineers, analysts, and operational subject matter experts to improve model fidelity and ensure simulation accuracy.
Adds new functionalities, performs model testing and validation, and resolves issues across evolving simulation platforms.
Leads and contributes to the planning, coordination, and documentation of simulation projects, including data gathering, stakeholder engagement, and capability monitoring.
Qualifications of the Modeling & Simulation Engineer
Active TS/SCI clearance, Top Secret minimum
Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 3+ years of relevant experience in software development, focused on simulation or game-based environments
Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, Python, or Java
Experience with simulation platforms or engines such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Simio, or Arena
Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative software development workflows
Understanding of modeling and simulation principles in military or operational contexts
Familiarity with the Naval Capabilities Integration Process (NCIP) and military systems
Knowledge of 3D graphics, physics engines, and database management systems (e.g., SQL)
Compensation of the Modeling & Simulation Engineer
Total compensation based on experience level - $150,000-$200,000+
based on years of experience and skill level
