Therapist - Social Worker - Counselor
Therapists at Turning Point provide individual and group counseling to adults with trauma, mental health and/or substance abuse issues. Therapists must be aware of social factors affecting the psychological well‑being of individuals and conduct evaluative interviews.
Responsibilities
Provide individual and group counseling to adults with trauma, mental health and/or substance abuse issues.
Work full‑time Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; mornings for group therapy (process and education groups) and afternoons for individual sessions, family contacts, case management and treatment planning.
Conduct evaluative interviews and remain aware of social factors influencing client well‑being.
Receive clinical supervision for licensure and attend CEU sessions provided free during work time.
Support Men’s Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Women’s PHP and Women’s Intensive Outpatient (IOP) levels of care.

Qualifications
Licensure in the State of Georgia in good standing: LMSW, LAMFT, LAPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LPC preferred.
Master’s Degree required; new graduates (within last 12 months) from Masters Therapist/Social Worker/Counselor Programs working toward licensure may be considered.
Competence, understanding and treatment experience in:
Primary Mental Health Diagnosis
Chemical Dependency/Substance Abuse
Dual Diagnosis
Trauma‑focused treatment
Patients with military backgrounds
