Instructor, Tenure Track Position Posted: December 17, 2025 | Closing: Open until filled, priority consideration for applicants who submit materials by Wednesday, January 14, 2026. | Location: CT State Housatonic, 900 Lafayette Blvd, Bridgeport, CT 06604. This position is not remote.

Position Overview All teaching faculty members shall prepare and teach college‑approved courses, develop syllabi, respond to constituents, conduct departmental responsibilities, and perform duties outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Responsibilities

Teach 30 credit hours per academic year, delivering lectures, hybrid, or online courses.

Develop course syllabi, reading lists, and keep courses up to date.

Evaluate and assess student learning, provide academic advising, and support student success.

Participate in program reviews, curriculum development, and periodic evaluation of teaching materials.

Attend workshops, conferences, and maintain professional currency.

Serve on committees and complete service obligations, including convocation, commencement, and other professional meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Anatomy & Physiology or related field.

Demonstrated ability to work with culturally diverse faculty, staff, and students.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Technology literacy (Microsoft Office, Teams, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

At least 1 year of teaching college‑level courses (≥24 credit hours).

Experience teaching Anatomy, Physiology, Human biology, and/or Cell biology with in‑person laboratory.

Experience developing courses in a science department and applying diverse teaching strategies.

Professional experience in a clinical setting.

Experience using Blackboard or other LMS and online instruction.

Compensation and Benefits Starting Salary: Minimum $65,708 approximate annual, based on qualifications and internal equity. Comprehensive benefits package includes leave policies, retirement plans, health insurance, supplemental benefits, and tuition reimbursement (if applicable).
