Associate Faculty – Nursing Assistant Clinical Instructor
Position Summary: Big Bend Community College (BBCC), a rural college serving vibrant, culturally rich communities in the Columbia Basin of Central Washington, invites applications for a Certified Nursing Assistant Instructor in the college’s Nursing Department. The instructor will guide Nursing Assistant students in clinical settings according to state standards, preparing them for certification and Washington State licensure.
Responsibilities
Schedule and supervise clinical experiences.
Maintain current student files as needed.
Work effectively with colleagues and students of various cultural and socio‑economic backgrounds and contribute to the campus community.
Maintain positive and effective communications with the healthcare education team, students, faculty, administration, and staff.
Minimum Qualifications
A current, unencumbered professional license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in Washington State.
A minimum of one year of experience within the past three years caring for the elderly or chronically ill of any age.
Desirable Qualifications Preferred candidates have additional teaching experience and are willing to serve on campus committees.
Compensation
Lecture: $987.71/credit for new associate faculty; $1,007.46/credit for experienced associate faculty.
Lab: $1,606.82/credit for new associate faculty; $1,683.95/credit for experienced associate faculty.
