Overview Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Manager for the Intermediate Care/Stepdown Unit. The Manager will supervise and manage a 24‑hour operation.
Responsibilities
Responsible and accountable for daily operations of the unit.
Provide coverage and mentor or assist staff as needed.
Interview, hire, and develop team members to build a highly effective work team.
Engage in talent retention strategies for the area(s) of responsibility.
Qualifications
Virginia or Compact Multi‑State License in good standing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
RN‑Bachelor’s Degree or RN‑Master’s Degree.
1 year of formal management experience.
3 years of acute care experience (including unit coordinator or team lead positions).
Unit Coordinator, Team Lead, or similar position may be accepted in lieu of 1 year formal management experience.
