Job Description BostonCollege is seeking a Creative Graphic Designer for the Boston College Division of Intercollegiate Athletics. Reporting to the Associate AD, Marketing & Fan Engagement, this position is responsible for the creative utilized for recruiting, visual, print and digital initiatives of the athletics program through the design and layout of various creative elements, including but not limited to recruiting graphics, brochures, traditional and digital ads, social media graphics, website graphics, camp materials and official and unofficial visit materials. This role provides much-needed creative design content for Boston College’s athletics programs and social media channels.

Responsibilities

Concept, design and produce traditional, digital and video graphic materials

Collaborate with communications, marketing and creative services departments to ensure synergy between all parties

Assist digital and communication departments with editing, developing, creating and implementing social media campaigns throughout the year

Coordinate, design, implement and execute photo shoots for prospective student‑athletes

Work with outside graphic and print vendors when necessary

Recruit, train and oversee group of creative/ graphic design student workers

Help develop, implement and manage the athletic program’s digital brand, ensuring all digital elements have a consistent look and feel, from visual imagery to content tone and cadence

Ensure that visual content is delivered to clients at sufficiently high speed and quality

Working knowledge of and adherence to all University, ACC and NCAA rules and regulations

Follow established departmental policies and procedures for procurement of goods and services

Ability to work events, nights, weekends and holidays

Title and Salary

Senior Graphic Designer: $65,550 – $81,950; 5+ years related professional experience

Graphic Designer: $59,400 – $74,250; 1-5 years experience

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, video production, journalism, public relations, communications, sports management or related field

Requires 1-5 years of experience in working in a college athletic department or professional sports team in creative graphic design

Experience in EFP/remote sports production, including equipment setup

Experience in producing sporting events and production experience for feature videos required

Experience with a sports team

Advanced knowledge of non-linear editing (Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro preferred)

Experience with DSLR and Cinema‑style cameras

Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects

Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

Ability to handle multiple projects at a time with tight deadlines

Be creative, innovated and original

Pays attention to detail

Ability to work in independently and in groups is a must

Ability to work long hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
