Rewrite Community Food Distribution (Prep for Distribution)
Rewrite Corporation is seeking dedicated volunteers to join our
Friday Prep & Sorting Team
to help prepare for our weekly community food distribution. This vital role ensures that our Saturday giveaway runs smoothly and that every family receives quality food and care.
Responsibilities: Assist with unloading and organizing food deliveries.
Sort and separate produce, pantry items, and dry goods for next-day distribution.
Check expiration dates and ensure all items meet safety standards.
Pack food boxes and bags efficiently and neatly.
Help maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Collaborate with other volunteers and follow directions from team leaders.
Population Served: Families, Homeless, Immigrants, Refugees or Ethnic Groups, LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender), Low-income communities, Military/Veterans, Offenders/Ex-offenders, People with Disabilities, People with Health-based Concerns, Youth
Requirements: Age Minimum (with Adult): 12+, Minimum Age: 16+
