Responsibilities

Live out our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists manage and improve patient health.

Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.

Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care: creating heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients at pick‑up, drive‑thru, and over the phone; offering immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone; and demonstrating compassionate care by solving or escalating patient problems.

Perform basic inventory activities, such as putting away medication deliveries, completing cycle counts, returns‑to‑stock, and waiting‑bin inventories.

Commit to a high‑performing team by embracing a growth mindset, being receptive to feedback, and seeking opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge.

Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including traveling to stores in the market as required.

Understand and comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles, and comply with CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy.

Deliver additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and optionally staffing off‑site clinics) where allowable by law and supported by training.

Support immunizations, including obtaining Technician Immunizer status, educating patients, monitoring for adverse reactions, and maintaining vaccine supplies.

Required Qualifications

Comply with all state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy (age, education, licensure/certification).

Ability to meet state‑level licensure and national certification requirements (varies by state).

Must complete required training within the designated timeframe.

Essential Functions

Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.

Attention and focus: concentrate on tasks, pivot quickly, and confirm prescription information for patient safety.

Customer service and team orientation: actively help people in a friendly manner, notice patient reactions, and respond appropriately.

Communication skills: use and understand verbal and written communication with patients and colleagues; practice active listening.

Mathematical reasoning: use math to solve problems such as determining total tablets, day’s supply, or bottle requirements.

Problem resolution: identify challenging interactions and choose the best course of action.

Physical demands: mobile and upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs (occasionally), move items, lift fingers repetitively, and have good visual acuity.

Any additional tasks directed by Supervisor or Manager.

Preferred Qualifications

1–3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.

Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations as needed.

Pay Range The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $16.50 – $25.00.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
