The Electrical Foreman is responsible for managing the daily field operations of electrical crews on residential or commercial job sites.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Lead Electrical Crews
Supervise and coordinate the work of electricians and apprentices to ensure efficient, code-compliant installation of electrical systems.
Plan and Execute Daily Work
Interpret blueprints and electrical drawings to assign tasks, lay out conduit runs, panel installations, terminations, and related work.
Ensure Electrical Safety and Code Compliance
Enforce OSHA and NEC standards on site; conduct safety meetings and verify all work adheres to applicable codes and company policies.
Manage Job Site Resources
Coordinate with procurement and warehouse for timely delivery of electrical materials, tools, and equipment needed for each phase of the job.
Perform Quality Control Checks
Inspect installations regularly to ensure workmanship meets internal and external quality standards; complete punch lists as needed.
Track and Communicate Progress
Maintain daily job logs, track crew hours and material usage, and provide progress reports to Project Manager or Superintendent.
Problem Solving and Issue Resolution
Identify field issues and develop timely, effective solutions to avoid project delays or rework.

Minimum Years of Experience
4-6
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid state Journeyman or Master Electrician license (as required by location).
5+ years of field experience in electrical construction; 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
In-depth understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and electrical specifications.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Comfortable with using technology (tablets, apps, project tracking tools).
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.
Prolonged periods of walking, standing, climbing ladders, and bending.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
