The Role
As a Robot & Vision Engineer, you will design, develop, and implement advanced robotic and vision systems to drive automation, improve efficiency, and support world‑class manufacturing operations. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate industrial robots and vision technologies, troubleshoot motion control issues, and optimize programming for high‑performance automation. Your work ensures seamless system operation, compliance with industry standards, and minimal downtime.
What You’ll Do
Implement and execute new robot and vision programs, including design, integration, equipment build/run‑off, and buyoff.
Develop and maintain FANUC robot programs (paths, tool setup, I/O mapping, safety configurations) and troubleshoot vision systems.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards while supporting deployment of best practices and new technologies.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements, develop project plans, and deliver innovative automation solutions.
Drive continuous improvement and consistency across projects, leveraging AI and advanced robotic technologies.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Controls Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 1 year of experience in industrial automation, robotics, and vision systems; 3+ years preferred.
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven project management capabilities.
Proficiency in FANUC robot programming (TP, KAREL, HandlingTool, Vision Guidance).
Hands‑on experience with vision system programming and debugging in a manufacturing environment.
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience with robot simulation tools (FANUC ROBOGUIDE).
PLC programming skills (Rockwell preferred).
Previous exposure to deploying vision‑guided robotic systems in manufacturing.
Familiarity with AI applications and advanced manufacturing controls.
This position will be considered a lateral opportunity for current internal Automation engineers; internal and external candidates are welcome to apply.
This position is not eligible for ISP, ITAP, DTAP or localization.
