Infection Prevention Nurse (RN or LPN)

Position: Infection Prevention Nurse (RN or LPN) We are seeking a
dedicated and detail-oriented Infection Prevention Nurse
to lead and support our infection prevention and control efforts. The Infection Prevention Nurse works to reduce the incidence and transmission of infectious diseases among residents, staff, visitors, and the broader community.
Through
leadership, education, and collaboration , this role plays a vital part in maintaining a safe and healthy environment throughout our facility.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and evaluate annual infection prevention goals and action plans
Collaborate with facility leadership, physicians, and regulatory agencies on infection control initiatives
Monitor infection prevention practices to ensure compliance with state, federal, and CDC guidelines
Oversee and support surveillance, outbreak investigation, and reporting activities
Provide staff education and training on infection control policies and best practices
Lead interventions when infection control breaches, outbreaks, or non-compliance issues arise
Assist with other nursing and leadership duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Licensed
Registered Nurse (RN)
or
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
in the state
Strong knowledge of infection control principles, nursing standards, and healthcare regulations
Ability to promote and facilitate teamwork across departments
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Strong ethical standards and commitment to resident safety
Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
