Behavioral Health Therapist/Counselor Location: Webster County Schools Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavioral Health Therapist/Counselor to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups experiencing behavioral, emotional, and mental health challenges. This role involves assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of evidence-based interventions to support clients in achieving improved mental health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' behavioral health needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client goals and clinical best practices.
Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, case managers, and community resources to coordinate care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
Current licensure or certification as a Behavioral Health Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent.
Experience providing therapy to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families.
Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, etc.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation standards.
This position may require working in various settings including outpatient clinics, community centers, schools, or telehealth platforms. Flexibility to travel between locations may be necessary.
