Requirements
Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and a graduate of an approved AMA school of Respiratory Therapy
Knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative, and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long‑term care
Able to work a flexible schedule including 8‑ or 12‑hour shifts
Patient‑care oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Duties
Provide general respiratory therapeutic services including oxygen, medical gas, humidification, and suction therapies
Document patient/resident procedures, organize and analyze data, and maintain accurate records
Communicate relevant patient/resident information to appropriate physicians and caregivers
Provide staff education related to respiratory therapy
Exhibit commitment to results by seeking and recommending/implementing process improvements
Monitor patient/resident progress and update respiratory care plan as needed
