Schedule:

This is a full-time position.

Job Status:

Non-Exempt/Hourly

Compensation:

up to $22.498 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Provide recovery support to clients by sharing life experiences

Assist peer participants in the development of a personal self-directed recovery plan

Provide non-clinical pre-crisis or crisis support, especially after periods of hospitalization or incarceration

Educate program participants about various pathways to recover

Identify and support linkages to community resources that support the peer participant’s goals and interests

Follow HCBS peer support service delivery protocols

Document services provided to clients in electronic health record.

Accompany clients to medical appointments, court appearances, and assist client with applying for benefits, as needed

Help participants transition from inpatient to community settings, as needed

Share information with participants about benefits, entitlements, and other supports

Provide outreach to help participants connect with desired services

Link participants with needed community resources and treatment service

Maintains documents as per OASAS standards and Hope House policies and procedures.

Maintains client confidentiality as per 42 C.F.R. Part 2 ( Substance Abuse Records) and 45 C.F.R parts 160 & 164 (HIPAA)

Is familiar with and adheres to current agency policies and procedures.

Adheres to the CASAC Canon of Ethical Principles.

Necessary Qualifications

Driver's license required

CRPA or CRPA-P required

Clear written communication skills

Computer skills – MS Word proficiency

Knowledge of benefits/entitlements for people with disabilities

Knowledge of substance use disorder recover process

Experience Experience in the mental health, substance use, and/or criminal justice field preferred.
