We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to join our clients' team. In this role, you will safely and accurately operate radiation therapy equipment to treat neoplastic diseases and other therapeutic purposes. You will work in collaboration with Radiation Oncologists to deliver high-quality treatment, including performing simulations, fabricating treatment devices, and conducting daily QA procedures on equipment. A strong ability to communicate and provide compassionate care will be key as you ensure a positive patient experience. Must-Haves / Requirements
Graduate of an approved program in Radiation Therapy Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) State of New Mexico license or eligibility for licensure CPR certification required 3-5 years of experience in radiation therapy preferred Knowledge of the operational methods and safety standards of equipment producing ionizing radiation Ability to handle radiation sources safely Nice-to-Haves
Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Job Responsibilities
Operate radiation therapy equipment to treat patients for neoplastic diseases or other therapeutic purposes Perform high-quality radiation therapy procedures in a timely manner Carry out pretreatment preparations, including simulations and fabrication of treatment devices Perform daily morning QA on linear accelerators and CT simulators Record patient treatment delivery in the hospital and Radiation Oncology EMR systems Document patient positioning information and ensure accurate care coordination Schedule patients for simulation/treatment sessions Flexibility to participate in on-call procedures as needed Provide compassionate support, education, and guidance to patients throughout treatment Minimum Education
Graduate of an approved program in Radiation Therapy Minimum Experience
3-5 years of experience preferred Licensure
Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and licensed by the state of New Mexico or eligible for licensure. CPR certification required. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary, signing bonus, and relocation assistance.
