Our mission is to deliver seamless, person‑centered support that helps people stabilize, heal, and move forward with confidence.

In this role, you will:

Conduct screenings and assessments to guide diagnosis, placement, and individualized treatment plans.

Provide individual and group counseling using evidence‑based, trauma‑informed practices.

Offer case management that supports clients navigating substance use, mental health, physical health, housing, education, and employment needs.

Collaborate closely with River Haven’s clinical and housing teams to ensure cohesive, client‑centered care.

Participate in case conferences, clinical meetings, and quality assurance activities.

Schedule Monday – Friday (8:00 am – 5:30 pm)

Compensation

CADC‑R: $23.36 – $30.37

CADC‑1: $25.76 – $33.49

CADC‑2 or 3: $28.40 – $36.92

Minimum Qualifications

Must have one of the following certifications: CADC‑R, CADC‑1, CADC‑2, CADC‑3.

High School Diploma or GED; an advanced degree is preferred.

Must meet CCC privileging requirements as required by FTCA.

Must have CPR training and certification prior to start.

Experience in chemical dependency treatment, preferably with outpatient adults who have been adjudicated to treatment and/or people with co‑occurring mental health disorders.

Demonstrated ability in group facilitation and evidence‑based treatment methods for addiction and trauma‑informed care.

Knowledge of de‑escalation and crisis intervention techniques.

Capability to provide case management services and maintain contact with community and social service agencies.

Ability to work a range of hours and, for bilingual counselors, proficiency in a secondary language.

Strict adherence to a drug‑free workplace and ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen, TB test, and criminal background check.

Compliance with non‑discrimination policies and ability to interact respectfully with individuals of all backgrounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct screening and assessment of potential clients to determine treatment needs, placement, and diagnosis; develop an individualized treatment plan.

Provide individual and group counseling and case management as needed.

Attend clinical staff meetings and case conferences to facilitate treatment plans.

Complete all clinical documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, referrals, service conclusion summaries) in a timely manner.

Participate in all quality assurance activities and clinical meetings.

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary River Haven team to deliver trauma‑informed, integrated services.

Identify opportunities for improvement within workflows, contribute to performance indicators, and enhance collaboration across service teams.

Document client services in the electronic health record within 72 hours.

Maintain HIPAA and privacy compliance, reporting any breaches promptly.

Perform additional duties as assigned, including supervision of practicum students when required.
