Health screenings and preventive care
Infectious disease monitoring and treatment
Community health assessments and improvement initiatives
Serve independently as PHN 2 or PHN 3, providing a wide range of services to individuals, families, communities, and systems
Travel to remote areas as PHN 3

Working environment3> Position located at the Ketchikan Public Health Center, 605 Gateway Court. Ketchikan is 90 minutes by air from Seattle. Remote travel may occur by boat or small aircraft.

Minimum Qualifications Public Health Nurse 2
Eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution
Public Health Nurse 3
Eligibility for RN licensure in the State of Alaska
BSN or Direct Entry MSN
Additional education, certification, or experience in public health competencies such as public health, decision making, interpersonal skills, partnering, or analysis and assessment
