Job Description The CDI Educator works with CDI program leadership to plan, develop, and implement education programs for CDI Specialists, Coders, and Providers. Educates members of the CDI team on the review functions within the CDI program in order to meet and maintain organizational goals, regulatory compliance, policies and procedures, and personnel management.
Qualifications
Licensure and Certification:
Active CCDS certification or Active CDIP; Medical doctor license (outside/inside the U.S.) or Active Physician Assistant (PA) License, or Active RN license in the state of California.
Education:
Master’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Three (3) years acute hospital experience in critical care or medical/surgical area required; Five (5) years of CDI experience required; Three (3) years experience providing training; Three (3) years leadership experience or equivalent.
