Position Overview As a Mental Health Counselor/Therapist, you will provide professional counseling services to a diverse population of clients dealing with a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, and more. You will play a crucial role in supporting, guiding, and planning treatment to promote mental well‑being.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' needs and goals.

Provide individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions using evidence‑based therapeutic techniques.

Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

Establish and maintain a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.

Educate clients about mental health issues and coping strategies.

Collaborate with other health professionals, social services, and community organizations to coordinate care.

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal guidelines regarding client treatment and documentation.

Stay updated on best practices, industry trends, and continuing education opportunities.

Participate in clinical meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

Valid state licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.) or proof of eligibility for licensure.

Experience providing therapy in a clinical setting preferred.

Strong understanding of various therapeutic modalities (CBT, DBT, EMDR, etc.).

Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage a diverse caseload and maintain accurate records.

Compassionate and non‑judgmental approach to client care.

Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with specific populations (e.g., children, adolescents, LGBTQ+ community).

Bilingual skills are a plus.
