Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Unit – Day Shift
Base Pay Range:
$41.28/hr – $66.05/hr
Location:
Newark, DE
Hours:
Day Shift (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.), weekends and holidays per department guidelines.
Unit Overview 6B is a 40-bed medical inpatient unit that provides acute medical care on a 24‑hour basis. It serves adults 18 and older with conditions such as pneumonia, syncope, diabetes management, COPD, altered mental status, and others. Patients are admitted from the ED, ICU, step‑down, home, and doctors’ offices. The expected patient condition ranges from good to fair.
Responsibilities As a medical nurse on 6B, you will:
Provide nursing care within the 6B medical inpatient unit.
Engage in a relationship‑based care model, building relationships with patients, their families, and peers, guided by the organization’s values of love and excellence.
Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in vital signs or medical status.
Document care accurately according to hospital policies.
Qualifications
RN license in Delaware or a Compact State.
BSN preferred or committed to acquiring BSN within 3 years of hire.
At least one year of med/surg experience as an RN.
BLS required.
