Job Description American Traveler is hiring a Critical Care Float Pool RN with at least 2 years of recent ICU experience and an active NY RN license.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital-based Critical Care Float Pool
Day shift position from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Float to multiple ICU units, including Neuro and SICU units
Utilizes Epic EMR system and experience is mandatory
No block scheduling permitted
Contract assignment length is 13 weeks
Competency testing is required for all float pool assignments
Only medical exemptions for flu vaccination, signed by a licensed professional, will be accepted
More than 3 call-outs in a 13 week period may result in contract termination; makeup shifts must be completed within 6 weeks
Requested time off must be submitted at time of application
Travel pairs are not allowed
Travelers may only be considered for one position at a time
Requirements
Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
Current certifications from AHA or RQI must be provided
Experience with Epic EMR is required
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the last 12 months
Competency testing for ICU required with up to 2 attempts to pass
Candidate must not reside in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties
US Social Security Number is required
